On 01.03.2022 at 10:00 a.m., at the Lovech press centre of the Bulgarian News Agency, a press conference was held for the launch of the construction works for the project “Energy Efficient Modernization of Settlement Systems for Outdoor Artificial Lighting in the town of Lovech and Doyrentsi Village”, Grant Agreement No. BGENERGY-2.001-0101-007/14.03.2021, financed through the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021 and implemented under the Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Energy Security Programme.

The event was attended by Ms. Kornelia Marinova - Mayor of Lovech Municipality, Mr. Morten Pederesen - representative of the project partner MPENERGI AS, Kingdom of Norway, Eng. Matyu Matev - manager of the contracting company for the construction works "Vemat" Ltd. Veliko Tarnovo, the project management team, employees of the municipal administration, media.

In the framework of Activity 7 "Exchange of experience, knowledge and good practices between the Municipality of Lovech and MPENERGI AS under the project "Energy efficient modernization of settlement systems for outdoor artificial lighting in the town of Lovech and Doyrentsi village”, Grant Agreement No. BGENERGY-2.001-0101-007 of 14.03.2021, the second of three scheduled workshops for exchange of experience with the partner MPENERGI AS, Kingdom of Norway, was held.

At 10:00 on 27 September 2021in the hall of the BTA regional press club in Lovech was held an opening press conference on the Energy Efficient Modernization of Settlement Systems for Outdoor Artificial Lighting of the City of Lovech and the village of Doyrentsi project, Grant Contract No. BGENERGY-2.001-0101-007/14.03.2021, funded by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021 (EEA FM 2014-2021) and being implemented under the Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Energy Security Programme (RЕЕЕЕС Programme).

On 3 February 2022 Lovech Municipality, in its capacity of a Contracting Authority, and after conducting a procedure under the Public Procurement Act, signed a construction contract with the contractor VEMAT EOOD, a company seated in Veliko Tarnovo, for the "Energy Efficient Modernization of the Urban Outdoor Lighting Systems of the City of Lovech and Village of Doyrentsi” project. The contract was signed by the Mayor of Lovech, Cornelia Marinova, and Matyo Matev, Director of VEMAT EOOD.
