Project goals

Implementation of the proposed energy efficiency measures is intended to increase the energy consumption class of the outdoor artificial lighting systems in the city of Lovech and the village of Doyrentsi, which will provide better living conditions for the local population and higher quality of urban environment.

Objectives:

• Reduce the annual consumption of primary energy by 888,560 kWh / year;
• Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1241 tons / year of saved CO2 emissions and improve air quality in Bulgaria;
• Increase quality of the working environment and life of 43,242 people, residents of the Municipality of Lovech, and increase road safety for pedestrians, reduce people's fatigue while driving, etc.;
• Ensure living conditions in accordance with the sustainable development criteria;
• Improve state of the environment, including reduced health care costs, costs for the construction of waste treatment facilities, reduced likelihood of EC sanctions in connection with environmental protection.
